Photographer working across fine arts, editorial, documentary, and advertising.
Irene is a photographer and visual artist whose practice moves between documentary photography and conceptual art. Her projects often intertwine the personal and the political, using humour and irony as strategies to invite the audience to look again and think differently. She explores themes of identity, migration, and urban life, while also cultivating a slower, more contemplative gaze, particularly in her ongoing exploration of landscapes and peripheral spaces, where silence and absence become part of the narrative.
With a background in Fine Arts from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna and a Postgraduate degree in Documentary Photography from IDEP Barcelona, Irene has refined her practice through workshops with photographers such as Nicholas Nixon and Cristina de Middel. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and featured in both art and editorial publications. She has also honed her technical and professional skills working in photographic studios and a visual design agency, collaborating on a variety of projects: concept art, photojournalism, and diverse editorial assignments.
In addition to her artistic research, Irene offers a wide range of professional services, including studio portraiture, editorial assignments, post-production, and photographic workshops. Whether working on a commissioned project or an independent series, she brings the same clarity of vision and meticulous attention to detail to every image she produces.
